CN Bryant Pond Wreck 1984

In June 1984, my grandfather took me to see the train-wreck in Bryant Pond (Maine). I'm guessing that today, we wouldn't have been able to get nearly as close as we (and a lot of other people) did, as evidenced by the photographs we took. These were taken with a Kodak 110, a cheap little camera, but the photos were well preserved when I scanned them this afternoon.

I remember that wreck very well, my grandparents Honer and Francis Farnum lived right across the street from this wreck on the small knoll. I thought how lucky they were that there home was still intact and there mailbox. Can you imagine being in the house and hearing and feeling this happen.
